Jury meeting for the „Romania Best Interior Architecture” competition

In order to encourage the knowledge and the promotion of key-projects built in Romania in the past two years at GIS is was organized the exhibition-competition „Romania Best Interior Architecture”. A number of 33 projects from all over the country were registered in the competition in five different categories: Residential, Corporate and Institutional, Hospitals and Restaurants; Public Spaces, cultural and educational spaces. There were awarded two special prizes: The Special Award of the Jury and the Popularity Award granted on the basis of the vote of the architects that participated in the audience of GIS conference.

The jury met on 21st of March at 19:30 at Radisson Blu Hotel in Bucharest in order to analyze the projects that were part of the competition and to decide the winners for each category. The members of the jury were: arch. Șerban ȚIGĂNAȘ, President of the Order of the Architects of Romania; conf. dr. arch. Beatrice-Gabriela JOEGER; arch. Nicholas GALABOV, Vice President of the Chamber of Architects of Bulgaria; arch. Carlo BERARDUCCI, Founder Carlo Berarducci Architecture from Italy; arch. Cédric RAMIÈRE, Founder CoCo Architecture from France; arch. Dean LAH, Founder Enota from Slovenia and interior designer Rai PINTO, Founder Rai Pinto Studio from Spain.

At the end of the first day of the GIS conference, 22nd of March, during the networking meeting SHARE dedicated to lead architects and contractors, was made the public announcement of the winners of the 2016 GIS Design Awards competition, in the same room that the exhibition boards were showcased.
